Who we are
AlignBefore is an iOS app for contractors operated by Jeremiah Svaren (LeadingLocal). “AlignBefore,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that operator throughout this policy. “You” or “user” refers to the person who installs and uses the AlignBefore app.
Summary in one paragraph
AlignBefore v1.0 is a local-only app. It does not require an account, does not have a server, and does not sync your data anywhere. The photos and jobs you create live on your iPhone, in storage controlled by you. The only personal data we ever receive is what Apple shares with us when you make an in-app purchase, what you put in a support email, and anonymous, aggregated traffic statistics for this website. We do not sell or share data with advertisers.
Information we collect
On your device, never sent to us:
- Photos you capture inside the app
- Job records, templates, and watermark settings
- App preferences
These are stored locally on your iPhone in the app’s sandboxed storage. We have no access to them. If your device is reset or the app is uninstalled, this data is removed.
Received from Apple when you buy something:
- Anonymized App Store transaction identifiers
- Subscription status (active, lapsed, refunded)
- The country of your App Store account, for tax purposes
Apple does not share your name, email, or Apple ID with us. Subscriptions and purchases are billed by Apple — we never see your payment method.

- Your email address and the contents of your message when you email
support@alignbefore.comor submit the form at/support.
Collected by this website (alignbefore.com):
- Anonymous, cookieless page-view statistics via Cloudflare Web Analytics (no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking)
- Standard server log data for security and abuse prevention (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent), kept no longer than 30 days
What we do not collect
- No location, contacts, calendar, microphone audio, or health data
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA); we display no ads and run no tracking SDKs
- No behavioral analytics inside the app (we do not log taps, screens, or sessions)
- No account, email, or password — there is no sign-up
How we use the information we do receive
- Run the App Store transaction: validate purchases, restore subscriptions, process refunds, and apply your entitlements (Free, Pro, Founders’).
- Reply to your support requests using the email you sent from.
- Understand site traffic at an aggregate level so we know which pages are useful.
We do not use any data to build profiles, train AI models, or target advertising.

We do not share data with any advertising network, data broker, or analytics vendor outside this list.
Children
AlignBefore is built for professional contractors and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, email support@alignbefore.com and we will delete it.
Your rights and choices
You can:
- Delete all in-app data by uninstalling the app or using iOS Settings → General → iPhone Storage → AlignBefore → Delete App.
- Cancel your subscription anytime in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
- Request a refund from Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Email
support@alignbefore.comto ask what we have on you, correct it, or have it deleted. Because we hold essentially nothing (a support thread, at most), these requests are usually a one-line reply.
If you are in the EEA or UK, the legal bases on which we process the limited data above are: (1) contract — to deliver the app you bought; (2) legitimate interest — to keep the service running and respond to you; (3) consent — for any cookies, though we currently use none.
Data retention
- In-app data: as long as the app is installed; removed on uninstall.
- App Store transaction data: as long as required for accounting and Apple’s records.
- Support emails: kept for as long as needed to resolve and audit the issue, typically up to 2 years.
- Website logs: 30 days.
Security
We rely on iOS’s app sandbox for on-device data, Apple’s secure channels for payment data, and standard HTTPS for the website. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach happens that affects you, we will notify you by email if we have one for you.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and post a note in the next available release of the app or on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
